Day #366 (Tue., Jan. 4, 2011) – Happy Birthday Katie
4:45am – Katie is up and my wife brought her to the bedroom to see me. We wished her a Happy Birthday. One year ago today she was introduced to the world.
I’m still not running on all cylinders so I decided I had better take today off from work as well. My wife’s cold/flu is getting worse so it’s good that I’m home to help manage Katie for her.
I fixed the changing table this afternoon. The board was coming lose from the rails, and as a result would not support Katie’s weight. The quick solution was a twist tie (see photo to the right). Around the rail, through the hole, and tighten…that did the trick.
We had a Skype with my mother this afternoon. It was nice for her to be able to see Katie on her birthday. She seemed to recognize my mother, but was busily munching on a jewelry box as well.
Katie learned a life lesson today. Don’t hit yourself in the head with an ark…it hurts!
I was playing with Katie in the playyard this evening. She really loves her pull toy. She always giggles when I pull it across the playyard.
8:32pm – My wife just told me that Katie weighed in at 21lbs 8oz today.
