I stopped off at Trader Joe’s on the way home from work today. I picked up some organic bananas for Katie. I also got some organic yogurt for her at Whole Foods.
We got a birthday and gift card for Katie from our friends in Charlotte today.
The photo to the left shows a couple of rattles that Katie gets quite a bit of use out of. The usual scenario is that I will pick them up and start to rattle them while I sing something like “Sleigh Ride”. Katie will start by nodding her head back and forth, and when I give her one of the rattles she will rattle along with me. Sometimes we even add the toy piano into the mix.
We had some balloons in Katie’s playyard, but we decided we had better take them out. If they burst then the remnants could become a choking hazard.
Katie got a great kick out of knocking down the blocks that I was assembling this evening. I would grab her and tickle her after she caused them to tumble and she would giggle and laugh.
