Day #5138 (Tue., Jan. 30, 2024) – Baton Twirling

Bobby is home sick today. If he doesn’t have a fever all day he will be able to go to school tomorrow, if he feels well. He had a three hour nap today, but felt well enough to play online with Ethan when he came home from school.

This afternoon I went to Aldi to pick up some supplies. My wife wanted me to pick up some pumpkin for Maple’s stomach… Go figure… I picked up the “Dental Sticks” that Maple likes so much while I was there as well.

My wife took Katie to school today. My wife picked her up at school and they went to Miss Patricia’s for a viola lesson. They did a bit of math homework when they got home, but Katie was really tired this evening.

This evening Bobby was playing with a stick in the living room (see photo to the right) and this brought up a discussion about baton twirling and majorettes. He didn’t know what they were, so I showed him a majorette group in a parade on YouTube. Come to think of it, I haven’t seen them around these days. Perhaps they don’t exist anymore? Maybe they have morphed into a “dance team”? Bobby actually looks more like a ninja than a majorette don’t you think?

Bobby and I also watched some Bright Side Riddles and Matchhead Rockets on YouTube as well.
