Day #5205 (Sat., Apr. 6, 2024) – Cookie Mixes

My wife took Katie to viola lesson, and then ice skating with Leah. Bobby was not feeling well, so he stay at home with me.

We decided to have a Daddy/Son day today, effectively Daddy/Son Day #78, so I went to McDonalds on Franklin Street to pick up the order. The usual. Two cheeseburger meal, with fruit punch, a small order of nuggets, and a vanilla ice cream cone. Bobby and I continued on watching the movie “Leave The World Behind”, at his request. There is really too much dialog in it, and not enough action, so he soon loses interest. We are about 1/2 of the way through the movie now.

This afternoon Katie and I had Daddy/Daughter Day #145. We went to Starbucks where she got a ham & cheese sandwich, a cake pop, and her new favorite drink: a cold passionfruit/lemonade chai tea. We then went to Aldi for groceries, and she picked out a couple of cookie mixes (see photo to the left). One chocolate chip and the other sugar cookie. I told her that they have the packaged cookie “logs” in the refrigerator section, but she wanted to do it the “hard” way.

Bobby has lost interest in shredding, so I took over this evening with this “chore”. In order to make it go easier I put a good show on Netflix or YouTube to take my mind off this “mindless” task.
