Day #5238 (Thu., May 9, 2024) – Momma’s Birthday
So the movers took most of our stuff! I’m used to sitting at my desk and using my computer to update this blog, but those are on their way to Courtenay! So, I’m at Panera Bread, typing this on my Kindle! Slow going, but it is what it is. I’ll probably have to clean up these blog posts a bit once I get my “regular” desk and computer back after we arrive at our new home!
Today is my wife’s birthday. We’re thinking of possibility of eating out, or getting a take-out, or since we’re all tired, just “nothing”… 🙂 We’ll let the kids decide tonight.
Bobby’s home sick today, and although Katie’s ear is bothering her, I drove her to school. She’ll miss her friends when she is gone and wants to get all the time with them that she can. My wife made a doctor’s appointment for both of them this afternoon.
Katie and her friends made an assortment of birthday cards for my wife while at school today (see photo to the right).

Everyone was tired this evening so we didn’t go out to eat, or get anything brought in. I did however go to Aldi where I picked up a cake sampler… I guess that you could call this my wife’s birthday cake… 🙂
I also stopped off at Walgreens to get a prescription for both Katie and Bobby. We leave for Courtenay one week from tomorrow, so who knows, this might be the last time we are in this store. It seems we’ve spent a lot of time her over the years getting medicine for the kids…
