I had an interesting dream last night. I dreamt that I had to pick Bobby’s drone up at the repair shop (probably because I really did have to pick his iPad up at the repair shop yesterday. When I got there his drone was not ready yet, so he gave me this handcrafted drone that he made for Bobby to play with for a day or so till his real drone was done being repaired. When I arrived home in the van Bobby came running up to me asking where it was. When I showed him this homemade drone the guy made he was very upset and started to cry. I told him to make the best of the situation, and his real drone would be ready in a day or so. At any rate, while I was trying to figure out how to turn it on and work the controls Bobby had already mastered them and was flying it around the yard. Before I knew it, he was sitting on the drone with Ethan on the back and it somehow sprouted wheels. Lickety-split, they were off and down the hill and going faster and faster and crashed into a farm house at the end of this large hill. Nobody was badly hurt, but they were pretty banged up. Ethan’s mom came running after them, boiling mad, and screaming that Ethan was never playing with Bobby again… Then I woke up… Funny what you dream, isn’t it?
I drove the van to Island Honda this afternoon to get our BC license plate installed on the new holder that they ordered for me (see photo to the left). They installed it for free, and only charged for the part, which came to roughly $60.
While at Island Honda I took a look at some of the vehicles they had in stock. We will need to get a second vehicle at some point, especially when the kids start back to school. Man are they expensive! A 2024 Oddesey van, like the one we current have, is over $62,000!
Katie spotted an owl when they were out and about the neighborhood this afternoon (see photo to the right).
I did some “Weed Wacking” this afternoon using the small weed wacker that we brought from North Carolina. The little red “blades” kept falling off and I actually lost one after it fell off for the third time. My wife has some more in the garage, so we will utilize those and see how it goes… I see that DeWalt has a heavy duty wee wacker and we might need to get one of those moving forward. We have a lot of areas on the property that the lawn mower can’t go, so a good heavy duty weed wacker will work out great! In the meantime, I took the clippings to the chickens (see photo to the left). Some of them had daisies on them, and the chickens sure loved this new addition to their food supply.
