Day #5305 – (Mon., July 15, 2024) – Weed Wacking!
This afternoon I assembled and tried out the new 40 volt Ryobi “Weed Wacker” that I purchased yesterday. Bonus! Along with the “String Assembly”, the kit includes the “Blade Assembly” for really tough jobs. You can see how much larger this new model is compared to the 20 volt one we have been using up till now in the photo to the right.
For a quick test, it did a great job on the hill near the “Barn Suite”! Wacked all those weeds “DEAD” in under 60 seconds (see photo to the left). No wastage here folks! I picked up the “residue” with the fan rake that I purchased yesterday at Home Depot, and fed them to the chickens!
Later this afternoon Katie showed Bobby a couple of videos about video game development and he seemed like them… Maybe this will be his direction in life? I do plan on getting the garage insulated, and setting up a wood shop for the kids. Who knows, with AI taking over the world, custom woodworking might be one of the only jobs left for humans! If I start off in this direction, the kids might have something to build on in a few years if they decide to take over the business.
Also this afternoon my wife met with a lady she has been corresponding with on a Facebook Group about Americans moving to Canada. She’s originally from South Africa and will be spending Courtenay winter’s there.
