Day #5322 – (Thu., Aug. 1, 2024) – Brown River Outing

I went to Canadian Tire this morning to get a Ninja Blender for the “Barn Suite” as they had a great sale on them. I’m not sure if they are getting rid of their line, but I’m happy to pick up savings whenever I can. One of the main reasons to get it is I’m thinking of having more healthy Daddy/Son Days. Maybe we can create all kinds of healthy smoothies and parfaits at home, and then watch a movie. I’d like to steer him away from fast food when possible.

I put the shelf up in the mud room this afternoon (see photo to the left).

I talked to Anthony at Orca Electrical and Drywall and it looks like all systems are go for the garage installation and drywall project. He’s even going to set up a section in the corner of the garage so that I can do some welding, if I ever get around to it.

The kids and I got our “BC Services” cards in the mail today. As of today, we are eligible for BC Healthcare, which is a big deal! My wife will have to wait till see gets her landed immigrant card, and can apply then.

My wife took the kids to Brown River this afternoon (see photo to the right) for an outing.

I showed Bobby a YouTube “Shorts” video about creating a model stone house out of stones and cement. He didn’t seem too interested, but perhaps if I start it? I also saw that they have various 3d Titanic puzzles on Amazon. Maybe that would be more to his liking? He was into the Titanic disaster a while back. I have a nice dining room table in the “Barn Suite” that I don’t use, and we could set it up there to work on whenever the desire came.
