Day #5360 – (Sun., Sept. 8, 2024) – Courtenay Sunset!

I went to Home Depot this morning to get another paint sprayer as the one we currently have “conked out”. The new one seems to work. I took the old one out beside the “Barn Suite” to clean it out and it seems to be working now…

Bobby is still sick, but feeling better. We’re not sure if he will be able to go to school tomorrow or not.

Katie spent a lot of time today in her room with Batman (see photo to the left). Doesn’t he look stressed?

My wife and I spent quite a bit of time priming and sanding the garage today. The good news is that the end of the day, we are ready for the second coat of primer tomorrow morning! That paint sprayer sure saves time… With the new paint sprayer we are getting less residue on the ground as well. We’re not sure if this is because the original paint sprayer that stopped working was faulty, or we have just learned to use it better.

We still need to sand the corners of the ceiling. The sander that we have is round, so I made a special trip out to Canadian Tire this evening to pick up a square one that will fit onto our extension pole. Why Canadian Tire? Because Home Depot closes at 6 pm on Sunday! I also picked up some white tile & tub caulking for my wife. On the way home I stopped off at the Real Canadian Superstore for some yogurt for Bobby. Take a look at the beautiful sunset from the parking lot (see photo to the right). While at the Real Canadian Superstore I also picked up a big container of hand sanitizer so we can refill our tiny ones (I think a better choice might have been picking it up at Costco.) I think of all the stores in the Courtenay area I like this particular store the least. It’s so big, there are often few people there, and nobody seems to be around when you can’t find anything…
