Day #5395 – (Sun., Oct. 13, 2024) – Blowing Leaves!
Maple slept in Bobby’s room a bit last night, but wandered down to the main door in the middle of the night to wait for “mom” to return. Batman seems quite comfortable with me sleeping in Katie’s room though…
Elon Musk’s Starship blasted off successfully early this morning, and this was the first time that a booster was caught in the “Chopsticks” arms. If I had known it was going up I would have sat around the tv in the living room with Bobby to watch it.
Bobby and I blew some leaves off our driveway this afternoon (see photo to the left). We put all the leaves in a pile inside the gate, and will gradually take them back to the compost heap via wheelbarrow. This Ryobi leaf blower is quite powerful, and Bobby really enjoyed feeling the power of it when I pointed it at him.
After this workout I offered Bobby a chance to go to a fast food restaurant for lunch. His choice? McDonalds! Surprise, surprise!
My wife and Katie are enjoyed the sights around Vancouver today. They went to Capilano Bridge Park (see photo to the right). They also went on a “Canadian Version” of the SOARING ride we took at Disneyworld a few years ago. Tonight they went for Korean food in Gastown and a 7 pm Gastown Ghost Tour.
Katie is using the “Law of Attraction” to go to Emily Carr University for Art School!
Bobby told me today that he would rather have a dirt bike over a go kart, and I think I agree with him. With a dirt bike he can go off the property on trails and such, and it won’t get stuck. With a go kart, you need a more flat surface, and he would be confined to the property.
