Day #5404 – (Tue., Oct. 22, 2024) – Rooster Crackers
Both kids are home sick today. Bobby even took a nap around noon, which he will only do if he is super sick… Even though sick, Katie was able to do a lot of math homework today!
The chickens don’t seem to care for the “Rooster” rice crackers I bought at “The Great Canadian Superstore” the other day (see photo to the right). The ingredients list mostly rice, but there is 5 grams of fat per serving, so is that what is turning them off. They do like saltine crackers though, despite the salt, but the all time favorite is still tortilla chips!
Well the US Social Security Administration didn’t like the bank and routing numbers that I set up, so their check is in “limbo”. Not at our local RBC, and not in the original bank in Chapel Hill. My wife and I spent the morning setting up numbers that they will hopefully like. We tried to call them but there is a two hour wait… Let’s see if email works (doubtful!).
My wife wanted a cucumber, sea weed, and disposable utinsels, so I stopped off at Thrifty Foods this afternoon. It’s a convenient store, and I like the “vibe” (similar to Sobey’s stores back home), but their prices are not the best. If we need to get seaweed and disposable utensils in bulk I’ll make a trip to Costco. We really don’t utilize Costco like we should…
Two weeks from today is the US Election! Neil Katyal is giving a very somber assessment in regards to how it will go…
