Day #5428 – (Fri., Nov. 15, 2024) – Sourvenir T-Shirts!

Daddy is flying home to Comox late tonight… Time for some packing!

The lithograph that they gave us at the concert yesterday didn’t come in a container, so I need to find a way to protect it on the flight back home to Comox. I decided to craft one out of the Paul McCartney cup and one of my empty water bottles (see photo to the right).

Check out time today is noon, and since my flight leaves for Vancouver just after midnight, I decided to go to the airport, find my gate, read my Kindle, eat some food, and relax, rather than get the hotel for another night and have leave around 11 pm for the airport.

Once I passed security I found an area with some seats that didn’t have arm rests, so I had a nice nap. I then had some tortilla soup and a skirt steak at a nearby coffee shop.

I wanted to pick up something for the kids, and after texting back and forth with Katie, opted for the two t-shirts shown in the photo to the left. Bobby’s is the one with the skull, naturally… I also picked up a “Mexico City” souvenir pen for my wife.

The Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul flight was streaming on Netflix this evening, so I watched it on my Kindle. I texted my wife to let Bobby know it was on as he mentioned he wanted to see it. Unfortunately there were quite a few fights leading up to this main bout, so he was in bed by the time it started. Poor Mike’s legs looked like mine right now… tired… Jake Paul won by decision.

We made plans to pick up Chinese food tomorrow so that we will have a bit of a feast when I finally make it home. I opted for Singapore Noodles naturally. For some reason they don’t sell dumplings here in the Comox Valley, or at least at the Chinese restaurants we have tried so far.

The direct flight from Mexico City to Vancouver started to board just after midnight tonight.
