Day #5446 – (Tue., Dec. 3, 2024) – Homemade Spoon!
Amanda stopped by and dropped off all the other cookies from the other ladies for the Christmas Cookie Exchange (see photo to the left). She said that our “blue mint” cookies were a favorite. She herself made muffins.
Katie didn’t have a spoon today for her lunch so she crafted one (see photo to the right).
I picked up Bobby and then Katie this afternoon. I downloaded a Paul McCartney Kindle book so I started to read that while I waited. This sucker is 800 pages long, so it’s going to take a while to go through it. Paul McCartney approved this particular book, so I guess whatever I’m reading is “true”?
Today is Day #3 of the Advent Calendars. Both kids took forward to opening it each day, which is the reason I wanted to start it at any rate. It makes Christmas go longer… The each got a tub of “Cotton Candy” today!
I’m not exactly sure why, but I sure am sleeping a lot these days. I read that there is something called “Seasonal Affective Disorder” that leads to fatigue and sleepiness due to the lack of sunlight. The sun comes up really late, and goes down real early, here in Courtenay during the winter months. The days will start to get longer on December 22nd…
