Day #5447 – (Wed., Dec. 4, 2024) – Letter To Caroline
Katie is having a “Flex Day” today, so she is home. Bobby went to school though. You can see this years Christmas tree and stockings setup in the photo to the left.
Katie drafted a letter to our neighbor Carolyn. Here it is:
Hi Carolyn!
This is Katie, your neighbor 😊
For starters, I’m so sorry I haven’t reached out to you sooner. I’ve wanted to, but wasn’t really sure how to start, plus school and everything in general has just been very hectic.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for letting me go to the farm with you! It was so fun getting to meet all the horses and adorable dogs and see how your workdays generally go, and I really loved it there! You mentioned that maybe I would like working there on the weekends, and while I know that it’s been so long since you offered, if the positions still available I would love to! Of course I completely understand if it’s too late, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated going there nonetheless.

In Day #4 of the Advent Calendar the kids got a “Warhead Candy Cane”. Bobby tells me that they are sour, which the kids like. They don’t like the peppermint taste of regular candy canes. We then got into a discussion of how it feels after you suck on a candy cane and then drink some cold water.
