Day #5449 – (Fri., Dec. 6, 2024) – “Bag of Gold” Bubblegum!
One of our neighbors has “old time” wooden Santa & sleigh like we had when I was growing up (see photo to the left).
I called Canada Pension up to change my address and direct deposit information, but to prove who I am they want the address on file that I lived at over 20 years ago! Who remembers that! It must be on a piece of paper or something, but I’ll have to find it… We saved some documents for proof of residence before we moved back to Canada, so that should have it… (NOTE: I found it! I tried to call them up this afternoon but their office was closed, so I will try again on Monday.)
It was raining like made today! I picked up Bobby at Huband at 2:30 pm and then swung around and picked up Katie at Vanier at 3:10 pm. The kids then opened up Day #6 of their Advent Calendars, and amongst the chocolate they also received a “Bag of Gold” bubblegum pack like I used to sell in the store for $0.10 when I was a kid. It’s a lot more expensive now…
We’re thinking of watching a movie in the garage this weekend. Here’s the #1 chose as of now: “The Kid Who Would Be King“.
We are looking at skiing lessons for the kids as they are eager to learn. They want someone to go learn with them, so my wife is “it”! I would love to teach them myself but if there is one thing that my knee doctor would say stay away from it is skiing!
