Katie was very active today. There were a number of firsts, so let’s get started:
1) I have been showing Katie how I put the shaped blocks into the corresponding holes, but tonight Katie was able to do it for herself. Ok, she just did the round shape (which is the easiest for children they say), but she did it for the first time nonetheless.
2) Katie tried to feed herself with a spoon this evening. She sees my wife and I eating with utensils, so why shouldn’t she? Ok, she did get food all over the place, but at least she tried.
3) I might have reported this before, but I’ll mention it again. Katie was able to push the green lever to the side to get one of the trains to display. This has proved to be more difficult for her than the regular “push” option.
Katie sure loves her books. The pictures are so much more interesting when they are upside down (see photo to the left).
Another thing that Katie has been doing as of late is pulling up the siding on the floor mats. I think she has learned this from her puzzles and how they interlock. Before you know it we will have all the floors mats ripped apart….
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
