Day #5492 – (Sat., Jan. 18, 2025) – Sick Skier!
My wife took the kids skiing this morning. She no sooner got back home than Katie texted that Bobby was sick. He was sick all week and we thought he was over it, but I guess not. It was decided that he would rest for an hour in a play area and then decide what to do. Katie said that her legs were already sore so if Bobby was going she would go home too.
Mount Washington was extra busy today (see photo to the right). My wife said that they were having some kind of a ski race! My wife picked up a lift pass for Katie, and boy it’s not cheap… In the hundreds of $$$… It’s not a sport for the poor. On the drive home we explained to Katie what tariffs are and how they work. Trump plans to implement a 25% tariff on Canadian goods when he is sworn in on Monday.
Bobby took a turn for the worse later today (see photo to the left). Plans were to go get a haircut tomorrow morning and then to Staples to get Bobby’s passport photo taken. My wife plans to get an appointment at Urgent Care tomorrow morning so the haircut and photo might have to wait…
Ken contacted us and told us that he has one more idea on how to fix the automatic gate. He will need to come over and remove it first though. No problem…it doesn’t work as it is! He’s a persistent fellow! Let’s hope that all these efforts pay off.
