Day #5494 – (Mon., Jan. 20, 2025) – Trump 2.0
Bobby went to school today, but Katie is home. She somehow convinced her mom that she would be more productive being at home today. They spent part of the day updating her room (see photo to the right). “Hannibal The Animal” is clearly visible…
Donald Trump was sworn in as US President this afternoon, which effectively means this is Trump 2.0… During his speech after being sworn in he made a number of promises:
- He is deploying troops to the US southern border as it was a State of Emergency!
- He is taking back the Panama Canal!
- Drill baby Drill (maybe he won’t need Canadian oil now)
- He renamed Mount McKinley in Alaska
A field trip to the symphony is planned for Bobby’s class on Monday. My wife sent an email to Bobby’s teacher to mention how he has been sick lately and to call her if he doesn’t feel well. She responded, “OK I will keep a tight eye on him and maybe he could come home after the performance. We will be away from school 11-12 and if need be we will call you for the afternoon. We have a few field trips up our sleeves that will help him meet all the Grade 4’s. Otherwise we are on our own in the OUTBACK and there are amazing children in his grade level. Please email anytime about his health and I will do my best to care for him here. Maybe next week you and your husband can come in one day after school and have an informal meeting with Lucinda Wolters and myself.
