Day #5508 – (Mon., Feb. 3, 2025) – Tractor Ride With Brodie!
When I woke up this morning it was snowing outside! It got progressively worse throughout the day. By the time evening rolled around it was still snowing. You can see our barn with the “Dusting” in the photo to the right.
My wife took Bobby to the hospital to get his x-rays and lab work done this morning.
While I was out running errands this afternoon I picked up a prescription for Bobby at the Courtenay Pharmacy. I then swing around to pick up Bobby at Huband. While I was driving back to pick up Bobby I read on the news that Trump has decided to delay tariffs on Canada for 30 days…
Brodie and his family were sledding in the Huband School field, so after Bobby wrapped up warmly I took him back to school. It was actually kind of slippery so I told my wife if she was going out she needed to put chains on the van. Both the van and Camry have winter tires but I thought they would have provided more traction. I guess this is testament to how much snow we actually did get.
After sledding for a bit Bobby ended up at Brodie’s house for more sledding. Brodie’s father also took them on a tractor ride in the snow (see photo to the left).
The chicken’s water was frozen solid today so I had to get some hot water from inside to melt the ice so they could drink. Problem solved…
There is a 10% chance for snow tomorrow so Bobby is hoping for a “snow day” and no school! We’ll see…
