Day #543 (Thu., June 30, 2011) – A New Place For Crayons
Katie helped my wife take her little dress off this morning. This is a big milestone.
12:00 noon – Katie is sitting in her Koala chair watching the Beverley Hillbillies. I think she likes the laugh tracks…
Katie found a new place to put her crayons today…the socket for our baby gate (see photo to the left).
We went to Moe’s this evening for a quesadilla. Katie had some of ours and really liked it. After eating we went to the park off Seabrook Avenue. I don’t really like it there much as the mosquitoes eat me, but this time I put lots of lotion on. Helped a bit…but I was still running for cover. At first we played a little basketball and Katie liked bouncing the balls around. Next we thought that Katie would like to walk down the greenway…she did this the last time we were here. This time she just sat down on the pavement and wanted us to carry her. We ended up going back to the playground area.
While at the park area we met a couple that gave us some ideas on parks to go to. They mentioned Observation Park near the airport where kids can see the planes take off and land and there is a play airplane strip for the kids to play on. We’ll have to take Katie there…she will love it.
