Day #547 (Mon., July 4, 2011) – Katie’s 2nd 4th
Today is Katie’s second “4th of July”. She kept us up most of the night, so I’m not sure how much partying we will be doing today.
I went to Trader Joe’s to get some groceries this afternoon. They were closing at 5pm, so I just managed to sneak in before they shut the doors. Goat’s milk and yogurt and berries were the most important things to get, but I did get Katie some organic cheese sticks as well.
In honor of the “4th” I made cheeseburgers tonight…kind of…turkey cheeseburgers to be more exact. I even made one for Katie. She loved it.
Katie decided that her Koala chair needed to have a bit of milk hair conditioning today (see photo to the right).
It was raining “cats and dogs” this evening, so we didn’t go out to any playground, etc. Our former babysitter Christina was thinking about meeting us at Moe’s this evening…good thing we couldn’t make it…who would want to go out in this weather. All those poor people sitting outside waiting for the 4th of July fireworks to go off.
I showed Katie that the bathtub markers that she plays with can interchange caps. She was fascinated with it and that was what she spent a lot of time with when she took her bath this evening.
