As I was trying to put Katie’s white shoes on I was having quite a hard time. I think her feet have outgrown these shoes as well.
This evening I was taking Katie to the gardens near NC State when a freight train happened to be rushing through Cary. I parked the car in a parking lot behind the shops off Chatham Street and Katie and I got to see the train as it was passing by. It seems to come through Cary every day at 5:45pm. I’ll have to keep that in mind.
Just before we got to the gardens it started to cloud over so I figured I had better come home. We went for a few minutes to the playground near the swimming pool in our community so Katie could have a quick run (see photo to the left), but when it started to rain I packed Katie up and we went home. She went into a bit of a tantrum as she didn’t get much running time, so by the time she got home she was crying and having a bit of a fit. We put some water in the pool on the patio and we both splashed around a bit…that seemed to calm her down.
